Coating

Ceramers are inorganic-organic hybrid materials combining the ceramics typical properties (resistance to high temperature, rigidity, etc.) to those of polymers (flexibility, low density, workability, etc.).
These materials can be easily applied to a wide variety of substrates (i.e. metals and glasses), by spraying or dip coating, so as to modify the surface characteristics, like a paint, but giving considerably higher mechanical characteristics.
The possibility of fixing the surface treatment at low temperatures makes their application even more wider.
Due to its long-standing experience
Ce.Ri.Col. has been able to combine the properties of these materials with those of nanoparticles, lending the surfaces even more special characteristics, like in the case of nanoparticulate silver giving its antibacterial properties.

Ce.Ri.Col. has developed two products:

Polymeric glasses (KVP) : the coating consists of a silicate glass film polymerised at a low temperature (120-200°C). They can be applied to steel to protect against oxidation, as anti-stain, etc.. They can be coloured and give anti-bacterial properties.

Ceramers (KMP-KMR): the coating, 1 or 2 layers, has mixed properties of polymer and ceramic material. It is used for kitchen tools as anti-adherent coating and for household electrical appliances so as to improve chemical-physical properties and easy-to-clean characteristic. It can also be applied to glass or ceramic as anti-graffiti coating.
